Drove to the Goyt Valley and followed the same route that I took with Paul Chandler, Ray, Peter, Margaret and Niki back in September. The boggy bit was particularly wet and unpleasant, but we soon arrived at the 'reconstructed' bridge at the southern end of the reservoir, where we stopped for a bite to eat.
We followed the road back to the car park in the end, which I was quite grateful for as I seem to remember it's quite a trek up to Errwood Hall, the family graveyard and the folly.
We met Jess along the road and had a chat with her for ten minutes, then continued to the car park. Headed back to the cafe in Monyash for sausage, egg and chips... yum.
